Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world;
indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

International Relief Services

It started as a modest endeavor over a couple decades ago: obtain a grant from the Rotary Foundation to document and share international shipping resource information.  At the end of the grant's term in 2001, the organization was transitioned from Rotary project to relief services provider.

Today Universal Heart remains a resource to obtain crucial insight and guidance for shipping humanitarian aid internationally.

Additionally, UHI has had the distinct honor of being one of just a limited number of U.S. organizations to receive donated pharmaceuticals direct from manufacturers. With these generous product donations, Universal Heart has helped provide life-saving medicines to some of the poorest areas of the world.

Who We Are

Our Board of Directors and Advisors represent decades of international relief experience working both here in the U.S. and in developing countries. From procurement of donated goods and shipping logistics to mission and field work, UHI is directed by a team of individuals devoted to the humanitarian cause.

Founded with the Rotarian "Service Above Self" philosophy, we work side by side with all those of like mind and possessing a universal heart.   Our objective is to help remove some of the cost and complexity of shipping as the primary obstacle in sharing our country’s considerable resources for the betterment of humanity.

Our on-going mission is to help carry out acts of compassion and make certain that all available material resources make the journey to a country in need rather than our nation’s landfills.
